MacFamilyTree has been updated to MacFamilyTree 6.2.7 today. It’s most improvements (GEDCOM Exporting, UI), but new websites have been added to the Web Research function. Data can be exported in a variety of ways, and there is even an iPhone app available to view your family tree on your phone. With support for GEDCOM, you can also work with trees that have been created in other programs, and share your tree with others for collaborative work.
Version 7.0 has revamped MacFamilyTree’s user interface and Edit Mode to make navigation much quicker. There’s improved source management options, more reliable merging of individuals and iCloud integration for keeping files backed up and in sync with MobileFamilyTree on the iPad and iPhone. You can also search and share your research with the free FamilySearch.org website directly from the app. In addition you’ll find new charts - including a more robust Virtual Tree view for navigation purposes – and reports, better media management tools, built-in backup manager and support (finally!) for high-resolution maps when viewing the places where your ancestors have been.

With the improvements in version 7, MacFamilyTree makes a strong play for the title of best family history application on the Mac. It almost succeeds, too.
